Quality Standards

Quality standards

Quality you can check yourself.

We don’t ask you to take purity on trust. Every compound we sell has an independent lab report behind it, and every report is published.

  • Reports published

Quality you can verify, test by test

Every certificate is issued by Janoshik Analytical and Medutest. Here is what each test on it answers.

Is it the right molecule?

Mass spectrometry measures the molecular mass of what is in the vial and checks it against the compound on the label.

Why it matters. Purity means little if the main peak is the wrong peptide. Identity comes first.

Four things we don’t compromise on

The difference between a supplier that claims quality and one that shows it.

Third-party

Independent laboratories

Testing is done by third-party labs, not by us and not by our suppliers. Current reports come from Janoshik Analytical and Medutest.

HPLC + MS

Two methods, two answers

HPLC measures purity. Mass spectrometry confirms identity. A report with only one of them leaves a question open.

Open records

Published, not promised

Reports sit on every product page and in the COA library, with the lab’s reference and test date.

US dispatch

A Florida company

StarBio is based in Florida, and orders ship domestically with tracking, so there are no customs delays.

Our process

From supplier to your bench

Six steps stand between a batch and your order. None of them are optional.

  1. 01

    Supplier vetting

Before we buy, we check who a supplier really is, including their business registration records. A supplier’s own certificate is never accepted as proof on its own.

  2. 02

    Independent analysis

Samples go to an independent laboratory for HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity. Where a report quantifies the vial, it also shows the content found.

  3. 03

    Review before listing

Results are checked against the compound and the labelled amount before a report goes live. New batches get new reports.

  4. 04

    Publication

The report is published on the product page and in the certificate library, where anyone can read it before ordering.

  5. 05

    Documented packing

Sealed, lyophilized vials are cushioned in a rigid outer box, with a cold pack where a compound calls for one. Every order is photographed at fulfillment.

  6. 06

    Tracked dispatch

Tracking is emailed as soon as the label exists, and shipment protection covers loss and transit damage on every order.

Reading the numbers

Purity isn’t the whole story

  • HPLC purity is a ratio

It’s the main peak’s share of everything the detector sees, not the amount of peptide by weight.

  • Identity is a separate test

Mass spectrometry confirms that the main peak is the right molecule.

  • Content answers “how much?”

Freeze-dried material also holds water and counter-ions, so ask for content if your work depends on exact mass.

Our commitments

What you can hold us to

Numbers as reported

We publish the figure each lab reported, exactly as reported, whether it’s 98.4% or 99.9%.

Research use only

We supply material, not methods. We don’t give dosing or usage guidance.

Protected shipping

Loss and transit damage are covered on every order, with photos as evidence. How claims work.

Questions

About quality

Are your compounds third-party tested?

Yes. Compounds are analysed by independent laboratories (Janoshik Analytical and Medutest), and the report is published on each product page and in the COA library. See our quality standards.

Which analytical methods are used?

HPLC measures purity, and mass spectrometry confirms identity by comparing the measured molecular weight with the value expected from the sequence. The two answer different questions, which is why a credible report includes both. Our guide explains how to read a certificate.

What does the purity figure mean?

HPLC purity is a relative area percentage: the main peak measured against every other peak the detector sees. It isn’t the same as peptide content by weight, because lyophilized material also carries water and counter-ions that don’t appear in that calculation. Where a report measures content, it’s shown as milligrams found against the labelled amount. More on purity testing.

Where do I find the certificate for my order?

Every product page shows its Certificate of Analysis under the description, and all reports are in the COA library. Certificates aren’t printed in the box and our labels don’t carry a lot number, so if you need the certificate for a specific order, send your order number through the COA request form.

How should compounds be stored?

Keep sealed lyophilized powder cold and dark: 2–8°C for shorter periods, or −20°C for long-term storage. Let a cold vial reach room temperature before opening it, or condensation forms on the powder. Once reconstituted, keep it refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each product page lists its own conditions, and our storage guide covers the details.
